"Carlos was super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. My AC issue took a few days to fully resolve, but he stayed on top of it the entire time and made sure everything was taken care of. He also fixed an issue with my dryer. He made what could have been a stressful situation because of the heat wave so much easier. Really appreciate him!"

"I lived at Avalon Cove for two years. Overall the living experience is a solid 7/10. Pros: - Close proximity to Newport PATH - Great amenities - Maintenance team / leasing office are kind Cons: - Noise level at nights can be loud especially with construction and road noise - Apartments are older (but functional) - Way too many fees So, why the 1 star? I am of the opinion that any unjustified algorithmic rent increases are immoral and dehumanizing. Avalon Cove is owned by AvalonBay Communities, a publicly traded real estate investment trust. Consequently, their end goal is only to increase profit. Avalon increased my rent by $300. When I approached to negotiate the drastic increase, they would not come to the table. To make matters even worse, when I submitted my move-out notice, Avalon listed my apartment for cheaper than what I was paying. In Avalon’s eyes, tenant loyalty is just another metric to exploit. Until legislation outlaws these predatory algorithms, expect to be priced out of your own home for absolutely no reason."

"I’m a babysitter who visits here once a week, and today I was here caring for a child. We were quietly and patiently waiting to use the playroom while the cleaning lady finished. When she was done cleaning and began to walk away with her cart, we stepped toward the playroom door and she started yelling at us. I was taken aback and shaken by her tone. This happened today 3/21/2026 at 9:30AM"

"First off: Avalon cove is an older building but the team does maintain it. It's a great location with a rare amenitie of having private garages to rent upon availability. Second off: Avalon Cove is not a smoke free community aside from "common areas or within your unit." So if you're unfortunate to have a neighbor who smokes on their patio, you're screwed, the staff will say they are not violating any policy. There are behavioral guidelines in the lease agreement that states "You must, and must cause your family, guests, invitees, agents and pets, and emotional support and service animals, to: (i) show due consideration for neighbors and not interfere with, disturb or threaten the rights, comfort, health, safety, convenience, quiet enjoyment and use of the Community by us, other residents and occupants and any of their guests, invitees or agents" Working with management we were able to come up with a solution."
